How we're bringing it all together

1. Pre-Sale

At least 2000 CryptoHippos will be available for mint to users on our whitelist. Our charitable donation will follow successful presale.

2. Real estate

The community will vote on potential real estate prospects. All holders of a CryptoHippo NFT will be able to provide research on each prospect to aid in the process. A voting system will trigger the purchase of an agreed property for the community.

3. Safari Giveaway

A safari trip for a minimum of 2 people will be given away. Perhaps the winners will experience some hippos in real life!

4. Main Sale

Remaining CryptoHippos will be available for mint to the rest of the public. 175 CryptoHippos will be used for marketing the collection.

5. Community Holdings in BTC, ETH

20% of mint proceeds will be placed into a community wallet with decentralized governance. This will be for real estate acquisitions and further business development. Founders will suggest holdings in BTC and ETH, although a community vote will have final say.

6. Trading Royalties

All ETH wallets holding a CryptoHippo NFT for atleast 30 days straight will get 66% of the secondary sales fees, known as royalties. The distribution will be per wallet. A snapshot of wallets will be taken on March 7th to begin the 30 day time period.

7. Tesla Giveaway

We will be giving away a Tesla Model 3 to one lucky holder of a CryptoHippo.

8. Further Community Development

We will continue to engage the community in several ways, including opening a web portal to monitor Watering Hole community funds. Rewards for NFTs in the ecosystem will have decentralized governance through holder votes. We will develop complimentary merchandise for holders, allowing them to choose from several options. We will bring the watering hole to the metaverse as well by purchasing land. Real life meetups and events will also begin. This will just be the beginning!

Intro Use Trading

An NFT is a unique, tradeable item on the blockchain. Many blockchains support it including Ethereum, Solana, Polygon, Avalanche and more. Typically, due to their limited nature, NFT's can frequently hold or appreciate value. Most people in the space view NFT's as modern works of art to some degree, in a digital form. Collections of NFT's can often be 1 of 1's or hard capped at a set number like 10,000 items to a collection.

In a similar way to owning Bitcoin or Ethereum, you can hold NFT's in your crypto wallet, typically a MetaMask wallet. You can connect that MetaMask wallet to exchanges like OpenSea that support the actual trading of NFT's. All NFT's are unique. Even if someone had one that looked exactly like yours on an exchange, it will not be recognized as the same piece by the blockchain, and thus all other users will know you have the original.

In the next section we will discuss more concrete purposes and benefits of NFT's. Please keep in mind these are more general and that each NFT can have its own utility depending on who created it and with what intent. It is common for multi-item NFT collections to include access to community events in real life, merchandise, and more with your purchase. These are goals of the CryptoHippos collection as well, although they may be considered more minor compared to the core utility.
